Once, while flipping through a beading magazine, I came across an ad for a seahorse made out of polymer clay. I was fascinated by the piece and I couldn't wait to get the the website of the creator, Christi Friesen to see what else she had to offer. What a talent she has and the inspiration for many of my pieces! Check her out at www.CFOriginals.com.
This section of my website will always be changing because I'll be adding new things as I can. Here I have included several pictures of my polymer clay sculptures, wall and window art, jewelry pieces, and pens. Click on one of the pictures to enlarge it and then you can start the slide show.
Almost all of my polymer clay items contain semi-precious gemstones including garnets, carnelian, amber, jade, aventurine, onyx, freshwater pearls, and more! Other embellishments include glass beads, gold and silver foil, and wire. Some newer pieces include driftwood from the shores of Lake Erie and become creatures of land and sea.
I have written stories to go along with the larger pieces and I will add some of those stories here as soon as I can.
Oh! Did I happen to mention that I am now an award winning artist? Yep! I won Best of Show in the Jewelry catagory at the 2009 Lorain Count Fair, along with first place awards in the Professional-Mixed Media and Professonal - Sculpture catagories. Pictures coming soon. In addition, I won a first place and a third place ribbon in the 2008 Lorain County Fair for two of my Polymer pieces. Both images are to the right (Fine Feathered Friend and Sephora - Angel of the Night) and both pieces have been sold.
